With the arrival of AI and robots in the workplace, there is (and will be) a lot of upheaval. What will the workplace look like in the future?

How will these changes affect workers in various occupations. When automation was introduced in the 1980’s factories and centers of manufacturing were hollowed out, leading to mass layoffs and job disruption. There were no supports in place to help the millions who were displaced. Will this massive change lead to the same or will the “this time it will be different” mantra actually take place? Over the course of our time together, we will explore this topic and try to understand where we might be headed and what the impact will be on both individuals and society.
